2015 SPORTS CAPITAL PROGRAMME
We are pleased to advise that a grant of â¬110,000-00 has been provisionally allocated to New Ross RFC under the above programme.
The allocation is specifically to assist the club in the addition of two new dressing rooms, showers and toilets at South Knock and cannot be utilised for any other purpose. Full planning permission is already in place for this project.
While the amount provisionally allocated is substantial, it is significantly less than the amount sought and as a consequence the club has a considerable shortfall to meet to undertake the development. It is also worth mentioning that the grant will only be paid in arrears against work completed and paid for.
The Department has laid down a number of conditions which have to be fulfilled before the provisional allocation will be changed to formal approval. The Committee are currently working on these and Members will be kept abreast of developments.
