ALLIANZ ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF NEW ROSS RFC

Allianz Ireland has today announced a new two year sponsorship deal with New Ross RFC. As well as featuring as the primary sponsor on the jerseys worn by New Ross’ first team, the club’s home venue has been re-named Allianz Park.

Allianz has long been a supporter of sporting communities in Ireland and abroad and the 2-year partnership with New Ross RFC sees the globally recognised insurer extend its support to the rugby community as part of its first ever direct rugby sponsorship in Ireland.

New Ross RFC has experienced an incredible journey since its foundation in 1936 and the progression of the club both on and off the field over the past number of years has benefitted many generations of rugby fans and players. The investment in New Ross RFC will further benefit the 300+ playing members who compete across junior, senior, women’s and disability rugby.

This is the latest naming rights deal to be announced by Allianz whose sponsorship portfolio includes; Bayern Munich and the Allianz Arena, Saracens and Allianz Park, Sydney Warratahs and Allianz Stadium, Palmeiras FC and Allianz Parque as well as OGC Nice and the Allianz Rivera.

Damien O’Neil, Head of Marketing for Allianz, said: “It’s an exciting opportunity for us to be involved with New Ross RFC, a club with such a fascinating history. Our extensive sponsorship portfolio including Allianz Leagues and Allianz Cumann na mBunscol has supported communities across Ireland for over two decades and we look forward to building long lasting and meaningful links with New Ross RFC and its supporters.”

President of New Ross RFC, XXX, said:”We’re delighted to have Allianz on board as sponsors of New Ross RFC and are very excited to see what the future holds. To have the support of one of the most recognised sporting sponsors in the country is not only great for New Ross RFC, but also for the game of club rugby in Wexford and in Ireland and we’re thrilled to be a part of this chapter in history.”
