U15S NEW ROSS

The under 15s traveled to Wexford on Sunday for their first outing of the year with a depleted squad through sickness and injury. They were beaten by a strong finishing Wexford team 29 to 17. New Ross started strongly with the forwards and back combining well to retain possession through many phases. Wexford hardly touched the ball for the first 15 minutes. New Ross took an early lead through an Eoghan O Dwyer try and conversion. Wexford fought back with two tries and a conversion. Cahal Murphy then scored an excellent team try in the corner to leave the sides level at half time. New Ross fought on well in the second half and a Craig Bradley try kept New Ross in the game. The Wexford bench provided to be the decisive factor as New Ross tired towards the end of the game. Coach Dave Brennan was delighted with the effort shown by the team and wants to see all squad members up training on Wednesday.
