New Ross U17’s hosted Naas in the Leinster League yesterday.   This was New Ross’s biggest test and while there might have been a foregone conclusion that Naas would walk this game, this was dismissed.

New Ross grew in stature and piled pressure on Naas with fast hands from centres Sean Kinsella and Daniel Behan and outstanding rucking from Luke Lindell and Sean Ryan which resulted in a well-deserved try by Bryan Culleton assisted by a raging run by Sean Ryan, that made it all happen. It was beautifully converted by James White, under very difficult wind conditions.

In the dying minutes of the game, it was Sean Walsh who marshalled the wing throughout the game, successfully made his mark on the game with a well-deserved try. Again a well controlled and struck conversion by James White gave New Ross a final tally of 19 points.
