IRELAND CALLS

Tadhg Furlong got the phone call from Joe Schmidt on Sunday after he had spent the afternoon at the Sponsor’s Day in the Club. He was advised to clear his diary for the next 3 weeks and present himself at Irish squad training in Carton House on Monday 4th Nov.

He now forms part of a 37 man squad for the Autumn Series and is one of 4 tight-heads along with fellow Leinster man Mike Ross, Connacht’s Rodney Ah You and Munster’s Stephen Archer.

Early photographs from the camp show him laughing and joking with Devin Toner and he seems to have settled in well.

The last few weeks have been spectacularly successfull for the Campile man with his first senior try, first European appearance and first Leinster start now being topped off by a call to the green.

If Carlsberg did dreams??
